It was for a wonderful pot of about £100, I came second. Oh well. I played pretty well throughout so I feel pretty good about that although I still think probability hates me.

So I ordered a fan from http://www.powerbookmedic.com/ two weeks ago and arrived today (which oddly enough is exactly the day that it was pissing me off the most).

So heres the wonderful picture of the innards of my MacBook Pro after I had replaced the fan, you can just about see that I tore off some of the black tape that helps to hold the fan in place. The main thing that holds the fan in place is 3 T6 screws which is always awkward but I bought the screwdriver set a while back so it wasn’t a problem (there are also a pair of T6 screws that you need to remove just to take off the top cover). So post op the laptop is now closed up, and the rest is silence.

Note: at the time of writing the fan is quiet, but that might also be because the fan barely needs to spin at all while I’m typing this post. Lets see how it does when I’m at work tomorrow.

So does procrastination but whatever. I’m going to change the colour of the title bar so that it’s slightly less black than it is right now. And the video and gallery sections are what will probably need the most work, if I can even figure out what I need to do to them. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep this blog alive but I kind of have a lot of stuff to do right now.
